USD rate today 11/4: Continue to increase in the first session of the new week

After a good week of gains, the USD rate still remained in green in the second trading day.

On the international market, the USD index reached 99.810, up 0.03 points, equivalent to 0.02% increase at 7:30 am on 11/4.

Joe Manimbo, Senior Market Analyst at Western Union Business Solutions in Washington, said the recent rally was the culmination of geopolitical risk factors, election uncertainty in France and the prospect of an upgrade. positive interest rates from the Fed.

Besides, the Fed's stance on tightening monetary policy also supported the uptrend of the greenback.

Minutes from the Fed's March meeting released this week suggest the market is poised for a 50 basis point increase in interest rates in the coming months.

USD gains at the beginning of the week

On April 8, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) announced the central exchange rate at 23,101 VND/USD, down 4 VND compared to the listed level yesterday.

The reference selling rate at the SBV's Exchange is at 22,550 - 23,050 VND/USD. 

The buying price for USD at banks is currently in the range of 22,690 - 22,750 VND/USD, while the selling price is at 22,950 - 23,113 VND/USD. 

On the "black market", the USD is traded at 23,200 - 23,250 VND/USD.
